The corpo gonks are back at it, pushing their "make everything in America" dream, ignoring the actual truth—global trade's too tangled to pull that off. Trump’s latest tariff tantrum's sent the stock market into a freefall. S&P 500's down, skirting the edge of bear market territory, while the Dow’s nosedived too. BlackRock’s head honcho, Larry Fink, says most corpo chiefs are already calling it—a recession's here, all thanks to these tariff games. So, chooms, if you’ve got your eye on some fresh chrome, better snatch it now before prices jack even higher.
Speaking of chrome, the OG HTC Vive’s hitting under $300 on eBay. It’s not bleeding-edge, but, as long as you got a decent rig to run it, it’ll let you jack into the datastream without having to bend the knee to the corpos too much like with a Quest. With a little tinkering, you can even get it running on Linux through SteamVR’s Linux branch. If you got the eddies, a Valve Index or something similar would be better, but the Vive ain't bad for a cheap rig that works on Linux.
It’s time to rise, edgerunners. Jack in, upgrade your skills, and stop these corpo gonks. The future's ours to take back. Grab a Pixel, slap GrapheneOS on it for next-level security and privacy, grab some Meshtastic chrome, and make sure you’re encrypting your comms with apps like SimpleX, matrix clients, and Signal. Jack in.
